I have a shoal of 5 gulper fish ranging from 9 inches to about 3 inches. I had them all together since they were all about 2-3 inches each. The runt has not grown at all. I feed them a variety of food like market shrimp, prawns worms and on occasion cichlids. The smallest of the shoal only eats the cichlids. Any other food I put in there he does not even attempt to eat. I've even tried had feeding. I really don't have room to put him in another tank because he's too small for my 225g and my other tanks he will eat everyone. Any ideas will help!
Also, for his small size the other gulpers don't seem interested in him as food yet.. Yet is the question, when will I wake up and he will be lunch? Lol

i think it depends on the fish personality. my 12in lmb leaves my 2in catfish alone. the shiners that the bass is fed are bigger than the cat but he leaves the cat alone.

Every once in a while the 9 inch gulper will attempt to eat the 3 inch one but as soon as he seems to notice it's another gulper he swiftly swims away.
