I am really thinking about getting a Russian Tortoise. I do have some questions though.

Do they go into hibernation in captivity?

Any additional pics/info/suggestions would be good too.

check this site out its full of knowledegable tortuga heads www.ShelledWarriors.co.uk
Torts/Turts dont hibernate when its on the warmer side for most of the year. If your in an area that it gets cold in winter and spring there is a good chance the tort will try to hibernate. if so i recommend perparing to let him do it inside rather then out cause you never know what else will try to crawl into a tort burrow while it sleeps a few months. Plus the obvious benefit of being able to directly monitor the hibernating of your tort.
