Cleveland, Oh.
I want to add 6-8 of these to my amazon tank, but I can't find info from anyone who has actually kept them. So, I figured someone here might be able to help me out with a few questions.

Are they hardy?
Can I keep them with Angels, and a Clown Pleco in a heavily planted tank?
Do they do a good job of algae control?
and
How long do they live?

Ive had 3 for almost a year
My experience with these is they are quite hardy, mine dont bother plants, they are very good algae cleaners and scavengers-they seem to be omnivores. I see no problem with angels or clown plecos.
They also seem to be diurnal and quite active.
This is just my observations over a year or so, I have not read up on them so we will see what the experts say.

Yes, yes, yes and probably over 10 years, but I don't really know, but plecos are generally a longlived species, could be double that.

Thanks. When I googled them all I got was the same repackaged caresheet. It's nice to know that it was at least accurate.
