S.American rainbow cichlids

I only have 2 tanks that are South American's,For those looking to add some color to their Central American tank, this fish will rival even the brightest of the Africans, but with a much calmer temperament. It is readily available over the internet, although may not be as common in retail establishments. Highly recommended in pairs or in a harem type setup.I have 3 males and 2 females that are breeding pairs but i do have 20 plus 2-3'' fry's,also like to know if anyone here have these guys.


Size: Up to 5"(12.7 cm), females somewhat smaller.Tank: Min. Tank requirements: 36 inches Strata: Middle PH: 7.0 to 8.0
Hardness: Medium hard (dH 10.0 - 20.0)Temperature: 71°F to 78°F (22 to 26°C)

I got one thats just shy of 3 inches. Very nice fish, its feisty, has good colors and has a great personality.

Im thinking its a female since it has rounded anal/dorsal fins and has a chubby belly.

Yeah I bought some other fish and almost didnt get the rainbow. It was only like $9 so I said what the heck, and bought it too. Shipping was like $38 for overnight express. Fish came next day in the morning.
