I was trying to spawn a pair of S. daemon. They were in a 125 with a few dither angels for a month, courting constantly and digging pits all over the place, but no spawn.

Meanwhile several pairs of my other fish dropped tubes in my 300 and were desperate for a room. So last night I moved the S. daemon back to the 300 and a pair of G. altifrons "Manuas" into the 125. The G. altifrons were already cleaning rocks by the time I turned off the lights, and this morning the female was holding :headbang2The angels were busy picking off some loose eggs on the substrate. Giant eggs by the way.

Never dealt with ovophiles before. Can anybody share some info on what to expect next? Angels are coming out tonight so it would be just the two of them with kids :)

lol I don't think the S. daemon would be bold enough to spawn in the 300.

A few somewhat recent pictures of the group. Not sure which two spawned :D
