HI
I have two synodontis petricola that have lived toghether in various tanks for about 2 years, right now they are in a planted 55 with lots of hiding places with some cl's(7-1") some plecos and some small gobies. can I add maybe 2 or 3 more pertiolas safely? they haves ones at the lfs are way smaller($20) and some that are just slightly smaller for $40 i think.. would either be ok? would they breed? thanks

first off all synodontis petricola will breed when they are 4 years old. you should put a flowerpot in your tank that in there they breed;)

There's a little more to it than just putting in a flowerpot and hoping they'll breed. Do some research on it, there's a lot out there about using overturned flowerpots on saucers with marbles in the saucer, and it works well (I'm just starting raising another batch of lucipinnis fry that way - the 'new' name for petricola's). You shouldn't have any troubles adding more to the ones you already have, they do much better in larger groups anyways.
