Hey everyone, I have a Stars and Stripes puffer who is knocking 3 inches right now and growing. My concern is that I have seen him puff up 2 times in the past 3 days. He was not provoked,bullied or spooked as far as I could tell...he just slowly started puffing untill he was huge then he shook it off. He has strong colors, aggresive eating/begging, quite active and shows no sign of disease. Could he just be getting his strech on? or is this indicative of a larger problem?

Puffing up is most serious when the fish is out of h2o, because then you need to "burp" them.
Hopefully he is just yawning or something, but it doesnt sound like that. I have never actually kept a puffer before, just got a Fahaka...so getting into the game myself.

Well I have seen every puffer I own puff up on a rare occasion but never very frequently...he has not done it since my first post so I guess it is nothing to worry about.Yea as long as he is seemingly healthy, that should be fine I guess...still hoping she will chime in and say a thing or two on the matter.
