I am currently running a 125 w/ a 175 wet dry and a eheim 2217. It is stocked with 50+ African Cichlids and 3 giraffe catfish which sift sand. I want to keep the sand and the cats but want to add a Lima Shovelnose.

I was first considering peacocks but I under stand my tank is too small for them.

I would also like every body's opinion on adding 1 or 2 Oscars, a pair of Green Terrors, several Severums, and 5 or 6 Fire Mouths. I hope this is not too many. I have had Africans for awhile and as long as they have been roughly the same size I have had no problems. One more question are Oscars pretty interesting as a pet. If you think I should try another type o fish let me know.

No, bad idea. You cant stock a CA/SA tank as much as an african tank. Youll probably get away with the two oscars and maybe another medium sized cichlid or two if there were not all those african cichlids in there. BTW, its never a good idea to mix africans and SA/CA cichlids. As they have different water requirements and diet requirements. Oscars are incredibly interesting pets and im sure youll enjoy their personalitys. I would suggest you completely swich over to SA/CA cichlids or get a seperate tank for them and not mixing africans and neotrpicals.

I'm Sorry, I plan on tradeing all the Africans and just leaving the cats.... Thank You cichniss

I guess I will get one red oscar, 2 severums, and 6 fire mouths and hopefully 1 lima shovelnose cat. I will keep my giraffe cats for now.

Unless there is any other suggestions?

The next question is how quick will everybody grow?
