just wanting to spice up the diet, my gf has beared dragons,so we always are having super, wax, meal worms around. I catfish alot but use nightcrawlers and red worms to catch the bait. I always have them leftover aswell. So is it ok in moderation.

I feed My guys night crawlers every few days, they love them. Hogger My O and Dozer my "big" 7 inch Male Midas both go nuts for them. Even Tank my little 5 inch Carpintis goes ape sheet when I give them to him on occasion.

I dont feed them to him every day, but they usually get them every 2 or 3 days.

Then again they get Kens Pellets (staple) or Hikari Gold (The Oscar) with a treat of either Earth worms, Blood worms or Krill every other day or every other day also. I feed blood worms the least out of the three though.

Not saying this is the best, but this is what I do. I know other people on here also feed earth worms to their fish.

don't tell everyone on mfk because I don't want to read all the dietary hate, but my husband feeds nightcrawlers to our oscar every day when he is here.

i don't see anything wrong with that. It's not like it's the only thing they eat so why not if you have'em. No hate here.........;)

........ It's not like it's the only thing they eat.........
all the other fish eat balanced, but not the O.
the husband is to blame.
not recommended.

I should have mentioned I pinch off 1 inch pieces at a time when I feed night crawlers.

thanks, diced some up for jag and he 3 complete worms, hadnt been out much since i mixed the dempsey, so i split them and he has been hiding, gave him the wigglers, and boom i had a friend. JD picked at it, but never did eat it, so i menced it tiny and my community gulped it, well the severums and angels. so no go on the super worms, and mealies. I suppose there shells may hurt the fish
