I'm looking for some plant friendly cichlids, any recommendations besides angels, discus, geophagus and dwarf cichlids?

All plants are tied to driftwood and rocks. (Anubias and java fern)

Tank is 190gallons.

My chocolates over the years have never bothered plants...nor does my nics.

I love Nicaragua cichlids, however another member here at experienced that his didn't touch the Anubias, but did tend to eat at the java ferns.

How long have you had yours and do you have any java ferns in your tank?

I'd appreciate the info, because that fish is very high on my list,

I have a young group of Astatheros rostratm with anubias, vallisneria, and crypts.
The 15 Astatheros have been in the tank with the plants for about a year.

I just added some young nics to a planted tank, and have kept Archocentrus nanoluteus inplanted tanks without incident.

Thanks for providing photos and follow up information!

I'm really considering them, they are very beautiful, and i think it should be OK to have 2-3 of them in my tank.
Might get a bit small for them, considering their adult size, but i have lots of open spaces.
