Hey guys I'm setting up a 600 and still undecided on what route to go

1. african tank with haps/peacocks
2. cichla with arowana, bicher and tigirus catfish
3. big ca/sa community cichlid tank

regarding 3, what would be some of the big sa/ca cichlids that can coexist in a community, i don't think a gt or red devil or jaguar would do well but could be wrong, dovii and umbee are ruled out for obvious reasons.

some of the fish i've heard could do well are:

oscars
big severums
earth eaters / geos
pearsei
bocourti
lyonsi
la ceiba yellowhead
red istlanum
ornatum

1 huge umbee or a big dovii pair would be awesome but dedicating that tank to one fish is not the route i really wanted to go

any suggestions?

argentea, syn, biff, zoe male rtm male freddy male lyonsi ,festae, ornatum, huge pike cichlid you can do lots with a 600 gallon

you would need 1000+ gallon to mix Dovii with other Cichlids i had a friend that tried it in a 750 gallon pond and the Dovii had to be removed

id do the la ceiba pair, istlanum pair and solo jag or dovii if youve got some stones. i think that could work with multiple breeding sites to decrease agreesion and the smaller pairs could do okay defending themselves from the dovii. i would allow the pair to establish and grow to like 5 inches then add a small trio of male doviis and keep the one that fits in the most that doesnt terrorize everyone.

I would do this for a 600:

1x Male Umbee
2x Argentea
2x Bifasciatus 'Rio Chacamax'
2x Zonatum
2x Fenestratum
2x Tuyrensis
2x Regani
2x Bocourti
5x Silver Dollars

But then again, i change 50% water 2x weekly.

footprint is 8 x 4 x 30 inches high

i don't trust an umbee or a dovii unless they were the only fish :(

here are pics of the tank

tank on stand, had room built with large area below to allow for big filters, room for growth etc, current is wet dry

plumbed external overflow, out of money for a littel while, saving for pump, bio balls to start cycling, lights later

leaning towards oscars, rottkeil severem (sp), nice large geos, pearsei, bocourti, lyonsi. Any other very large but mildly aggressive sa/ca? what about a jack dempsey or green terror? i know all fishes are individuals just wanted some guidelines.
