SA/CA Recommendation

I am going to set up a 30 gal tank and wanted some ideas for cichlids that could live for life in there with a semiagg comm. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

You can do a community tank with the dwarves, if you're looking for more aggro ones, cons, firemouths, jewels all stay pretty small

Its pretty open as to what i go with the only thing thats going in for shure are a couple tiger barbs.

Even though they are so common, I would still have to say convicts. IMO they are kind of a larger cichlid in a small body if you know what I mean...Get some nice calico ones or something like that.

My bro has a Female Salvini with a Male Con , 3 Cory cats and a Bristle nose pleco. And It is working out great.

when it comes to the firemouths would only one fit in the 30 or a pair? And i heard that the cons where super aggresive would they have to be by themselves? If i go with the smaller species how many would be able to be in there without there being territory issues?

thats a terrible mixture.

If I were you I'd get some nanoluteus or some other type of cryptoheroes.

A pair of cons, firemouths, or jewel cichlids would be good like already mentioned. But I wouldn't mix them in that small of a tank. Cons and jewels would probably need to be by themselves. The firemouths aren't generally as aggressive and could probably be kept fine with the tiger barbs.
