SA/CA waterway maps??

I've googled trying to find any kind of maps of sa/ca waterways and can't find anything worth a crap. I always see people describing the local of some of their fish.....and I want to see where it is! I can tell you where my fish are from, but I don't know where it is! Does anyone know a good site to find these?

Well, I kind of tried that, but didn't have great luck with it. I don't know much about these areas, and am just trying to learn. I've looked up maps, but could only find those of countries, no rivers, waterways, etc. It's frustrating because I know nothing about these areas, and I'm having a hard time explaining what I'm looking for.

That's a good idea. I may go check out the library tomorrow. I had found a couple sites while searching that explained exactly what I wanted, but when I went to it, it was an ad selling a book CONTAINING that info. Guess you just can't be a good ole book!

I know Vin Kutty's site http://www.geocities.com/napaValley/5491/collecting.html has coordinates to collection locales that you could just input into Google Earth. He mostly deals with pikes though.
