Well I'm looking into getting a 18" SA lungfish and 2 16" clown knifes to put with my silver aro and my gar. Wanted your guys expert opinion if it would work before i spend the money. Its funny because Ive wanted all these fish together since the first time I heard of them but then I realized they were all ancient fish and that made it even cooler. They would all be living in a 140g tank. Lemme know if u think it'll work out plz. Also is it true that any current will kill lungs? I was gunna run 2 Fluval 404's cause i got them already, would that work?

If your aro and gar are comparable in size to the knives and lungfish, I don't see why it wouldn't work. Although it will be a bit crowded in a 140.

i kinda thought they would stay outta each others way a bit, aro at the top, lung on the bottom and gar and knifes in the middle.

depends on individual temprement.. some knives are aggressive but mostly they get along with tankmates that are too big to swallow.. but 140 gal is a bit tight for all of them though.. i'd say just get one clown & the lung, and i've never had any problems with current and my annectens lungfish ;)

I keep a 24" African lung with my 20" clown knife, the clown occasionally chases the lung. Your bigger problem is that two clown knives usually end up fighting. I got tons of current in my tank, lung is just fine, nothing kills lungfish!

wont a lung fish eat anything big unuff to fit in its mouth. just woundering bc i have a 8" one and want to put it with some tank mates

My lung is pretty mellow, he attacks only silver dollars for some reason (shiny?). Depends on your individual lung. I also have a real mellow pellet-eating 12" Wolffish in the same tank!

Tank is too small for all this...imo. The fish will not be happy.
