Hi guys, I haven't been here for ages so hello again!
I am toying with the idea of a SA lungfish- I have had Africans before and know that they can be somewhat naughty to tank mates (well, down-right murderous actually).
I have the chance of a 40" SA that is currently kept with all manner of fish with no problems.
I was wondering if it could be trusted with a fly river turtle (who is also well behaved)?
Finally, how much should I be looking at paying for one at this size?
OR would it be worth swapping
a 12 inch african Wolf fish, an 8" african pike, a 7" distochodus sexfacsciata (sorry about the spelling!) and a 10" Giraffe catfish for?
Thoughts please.....

Thanks mate, I am still not made my mind up- I have just watched the wolf fish eating and she is pretty awesome and I am attached to the pike too. Not bothered about the other 2! I think that it is a good opportunity though- can't see another SA of that size coming along any time soon. Any one have any thoughts? Cheers

I just noticed that you listed the wolf fish as an "African wolf fish." I thought that there weren't any wolf fishes from Africa; I was under the impression that they're all South American. All of the fishes that you listed should be pretty easy to replace while a SAL that size is pretty rare and takes time to grow out.

Yep, you are right about the wolf fish they aren't African (getting confused with tigers.....its late over here!). Still trying to decide, I have no idea how old the lungfish is either- I have just read on your species info that they only live to eight years- I'm guessing that's a typo? Great info on there though! Any idea how old it is likely to be to reach that size? Cheers
