aul should work although some auls have the tendency to bite the rays soft disc.

Maybe you should instead consider just one bigger tank for the rays and the Lung, if the Lung has done nothing wrong to them for a long time. Or you could separate them, keep the Lung with bigger things (Assuming that it doesn't go through a change for the nasty) and then reintroduce the Lung to the Rays when they are bigger.
