Where The Wild Things Are
i was thinking about a south american set up with
3 X banded leporinus (schooling?)
2 X Ocars (1 albino tiger and 1 regular tiger)
1 X silver arowana (waiting for him to grow larger)
5 X silver dollars and
and some p bass later as i upgrade

they are all going into a 150 gal tank what do you guys think for this set up i want to have?

going all black with diftwood and fake plants

What's the footprint of the tank? will it be a sump or canister?

Don't think the silver will stay in there for life. otherwise sounds like a good mix to me. Not sure if Leoporinus are con specific aggressive or not.

Sounds like a nice set up, but how big are each of your fishes? What are the dimensions of that 150? If all the fishes that you mentioned are all adult size... that tank would be kind of crowded.

no not adult size but around 3-4 ins for all the fishes and the aro prolly around 6in
72L x 18W X 28H and two dual hang over filters and a 405 for about a year and a half?

Yeah that should be fine, a year and a half. Then you will need to upgrade soon after that... also depends if you plan on power feeding within that year and a half, if so then you might need to upgrade sooner... :grinno:

I would go with a bigger filter for sure.

I'd keep just one leporinus, they are very aggressive to conspecifics from what I've seen.
