ill get some better photos today of them in my tank. cool fish though i had to grab a few.

Are those Boulengerella maculata, the Spotted Pike Characin?

i was researching today, i could not find the proper info on them. Spotted gar is the FL gar, i think these are the ones i had before the "marble gar" or marble line gar (the tails and patterns look close to the small ones i had), depending whose selling it or where your buying it i guess?? Lol i will post up pics tomorrow again with more information.

In California, the LFS sells only Boulengerella species because true gars are illegal in California. LFS in California will label them South America Gar but they are not the illegal kind. The Boulengerella species is not a true gar.
