It was great and yes I caught it. I routinely make my own sashimi. So far Ive made it out of mangrove snapper, red snapper, spanish mackerel, and cobia. Its a challenge to cut the meat just right so it doesnt get all mushy.

I guess we dont have any DIY sushi/sashimi/nigiri chefs in here? You CANT beat sashimi so fresh that it was swimming free less then 2hrs before it ends up in your belly!
 
I don't know much about sashimi and I have never eaten it but I probably would not be opposed to trying some.That fresh fish has to be an excellent source of protein.
