anybody know of any good fishing holes in the sacremento area? i moved up here 3yrs ago on the 23rd and have only been fishing 4 times, twice at cache creek(lots of fun) once at putah creek and once on the sac river. i love fishing in spots where i can see the fish or where there is lots of cover to try to get the fish out of(or so i can pretend i'm fishing the amazon) but i'm not a big fan of throwing a line into the middle of a huge muddy river and hoping something bites in the next couple hours. i really want to try getting an adult pike minnow, i caught a few 14" in cache creek but i really want to try to get an adult. if anybody knows any good areas where i can get some dace, lahontan redside or other colourful minnows/fish suitable for aquaria, i'd apreciate it, i've got a 180g sitting in the backyard that's just begging to be setup and i don't want to fill it w/ water inside incase the seams give.

aww, come on now i feel like my fish when there's a blackworm stuck to the other side of the glass, so tempting and just out of reach.
