Sacramento LFS with two big rotkeil sev

If anyone is interested Exotic Aquarium in Sacramento had two huge rotkeil severum that looked to be in good shape. Someone must have given them up. One must have been 8 inches tip to tail other a bit smaller both big and bulky.

This is not my favorite shop due to conditions but they seem to get a lot of turn-ins.

I haven't been to Exotic Aquatics in a couple of years, but I used to live in Sacramento and went tp their old and new locations on several occasions. I vowed to never shop there again...

I had high hopes for their new store but was repeatedly disappointed with both the health of the stock and their unscrupulous business practices (quote one price, charge another at the register; unlabeled fish, etc.).

Maybe things have changed. Maybe not.

Even if I saw fish there that I wanted, I wouldn't buy them out of principle...

I agree with you. The stock and conditions were very poor, but these rotkeils looked good. I live a couple hours from Sac up at Tahoe, and when I'm down there I make the rounds. I'm not going back after that last visit. Sad that people give them fish to rehome. There are some nice shops in Sac, Jo-Jos, AquaWerkz, etc

JoJos and AquaWerkz (and smaller O St, owned by the same family as AW, if it's still around) are all great.

I heard Capitol Aquarium closed. That's really sad...

I don't trust the guys who own Exotic farther than I can throw them. Not honest people...

Have you checked out the Sacramento Aquarium Society?

Lot's of folks from the foothills come to meetings in Folsom (if I recall)?
