Was out looking into some LFS the other day. I strolled into this cruddy place I had been to a few times, really to kill some time, and I found a 7" Bichir there. I believe it was a Senegal even though the coloration was dark...
The little guy was pretty messed up, marks all over him and looked like he was a donation from a keeper who had him in a bad tank. I felt bad so I bought him, hoping that maybe I could give him a better home.
At first, he did well and was feeding for a few days but died later that week.
It's a tragedy that people can't take good care of their pets.
