Sad day- big guy suicided

woke up this morning, and saw 1 of my biggest Lal cheng 5" (out of 7 of them) on the floor,
I picked this guy up and dumped into hoispital tank, looked kind of dry tho...
this guy lasted about an hour and past away.....:cry:
Any idea what triggered the jumping? There was only 1 tiny hole he could have escape ( a size of a penny )..
I changed 30% water about 4 days ago, everyone else in the tank seems fine and eating...water parament is normal.


I only have 6 of them left, hopefully somehow will find a breeding pair...
 
If there is a whole big enough they will escape. ANYTHING can set them to escape, can be parameters or temperatures or something simple like re-ranging the decor. Sounds like you have several in one tank most lily he was driven out by the dominate fish.
