My fertile female dwarf (Channa.G) got her *** kicked to death today. I am so pissed

All we had to do was give it up again and the male would have let her be......

I am down to one more breeding female and she has only given me one batch in the last five years, so I am not hopeful. I should have held back more.............................

I guess the species thats quite abundant down there as evident by youtube videos of a mother with a clutch of fingerlings,isn't the species you have.

the species that is plentiful in our river are c. argus and are illegal. plus those grow really, really big.

Yep, this was a bad beating. I mean he tore both her pec & caudal fins to shreds and he took chunks of scales for her sides.
Now his dumb-*** is wandering around the tank like a broken hearted fool.
