It is with great regret that I must share the death of a fellow MFK member, Celtic Samurai aka John O'Malley. His death was due to unexpected health complications. Whether you knew him or not we all share the common bond of the love of this hobby.

He will be missed.

Greetings Fish Hobbyists,

My name is Kevin and I am John's youngest brother. We have set up a web page for folks like you to express your thoughts and feelings.

My brother was diagnosed with leukemia on 9-16-08 and passed away on 9-20-08.

My brother Dan and I are working on setting up a tax deductible fund for his son's education. We are working on having it the site listed above.

Thanks for everyone who has posted here and PLEASE go to his tribute site and comment there. His family friends all would love to hear more good stories about John.

Wow four days after the diagnosis? I wonder if it could have been prevented if he was diagnosed earlier. I am going for a walk for leukemia tomorrow at Heinz field my thoughts will be with him and his family.

wow this sucks been a hard year for MFK. sorry for the loss even though I did not know him.
