I had to make a sacrifice due to several circumstances..

1. I'm laid off of work
2. we are relocating to a smaller cheaper apartment
3. Wife is pregnant and wants to have more space for baby
4. Wife wants to have a dining room at new place.

I wasn't expecting to sell the tank due to all of these circumstances but ultimately I had to do the right thing. I'm not happy with it but it's still no fun getting out of a hobby/selling off something that you really liked..

I'm going from having a 135gal tank to now only a 29gallon tank and a 2.5 betta tank.

The good news is that my midas is going to a 240gal tank with a male. Hopefully they hit it off and make a bunch of Midas Babies..

here is a video and a couple pictures of my tank...

so sorry to hear that.. very nice tank.. and cute cat.. best of luck to ya..
btw

nice pic of Victoria Bay!

Well that sucks man, that was a beauty of a midas! Well hope all goes well for your family. How much did you get for your 135gal? Once the reccession and what not is over you'll be back into it. It never goes away!

thx I'm hoping so... I know that I'll have some leverage once we get a big enough place. I sold the tank stand and canopy to my brother in law for 250, I'm selling everything else off individually. I'm at 410 so far and I still have to sell the lights, driftwood, and one more filter. I plan on using a few bucks to get myself something nice and the majority will go towards a crib or something else expensive for the baby.

wife is still early in pregnancy so we arent buying anything yet.

Dont get rid of the tank. Its not like a 135 takes up that much space.

Tuff break man but you'll be back with avengance once things turn that corner?! Any chance you could get that beauty of midas back in a couple of years??

1 step back and 2 steps forward! Good luck to you and congrats on the Pregnancy!

sorry to hear that, i cannot imagine having to down grade to such a small tank... hope im never in the position where i have to. i think id end up selling everything if i did have to though.

Best of luck to you. Sounds like your brother-in-law got an awesome deal. That's a beautiful tank.
