I had small TSN's that I got as 1"ers that were "saves" from a bad LFS situation, ANYWAY one of them was "stumpy" the crippled TSN's.. He was a crazy little fella that had one of his rear fins bitten off in the LFS tank. I've had a hard time with him over the past few days as I couldn't get him to eat... which eventually led to his death today... I found out that his jaw had been broken and he had not been able to open his mouth for food (it was busted on the underside were it wasn't visable while he sat on the bottom of the tank)

At the time of his death he was 3 1/2"

RIP Stumpy... :(

Sorry to hear that bro. :(

How bad was the break? Do you think he had it when you got him, or was it an injury in the tank?

noway, it was definetly a recent break!!!... I think the Limas freaked him out and he hit the glass... thats all I can think of at this point...as the first couple of days that the limas were with the little TSN's they didn't really react well and became WAY more skittish than normal, but have since calmed down so hopefully we're all done with the broken bones in that tank

bad day for tsns i guess, i lost my big one too=/
Yeah I saw your thread.. bummer!!! I don't feel so bad cause mine was still so small and I know how fragile they are at this size so i'm prepared to lose them ... once they hit the 12" mark it becomes harder to lose one for me.

But... on the bright side... SHOPPING TRIP!!!!

I'm always worried with my lima...he'll get spooked sometimes by my widebars and he'll hit that glass pretty hard. I actually got a large piece of driftwood that's about 3 feet long, 1.5 feet wide, and 2 feet high to break up the large open space that he was hitting. I've noticed he hangs out in this "branchy" area and that's really seemed to help.
