About a week and a half ago i bought a 3 inch african tiger fish and a 2 inch wolf

fish. Kept them well fed eating brine shrimp, blood worms and about 50 mollies.

Today i come home from a crappy day, to find no african tiger fish and a very fat

wolf fish. How is this possible that a fish can eat another fish that is bigger then it

 :screwy:

Sorry to hear that, especially considering the price of ATFs. It goes a little something like this, though:

I don't advocate keeping Hoplias malabaricus with any tankmates for this reason. They may live in what seems like harmony for months before housing their tankmates.

On a positive note, though, you've got a wolf fish. :headbang2

v possible since the wolf is much heavier built than the ATF.

He cld have just bit off the tail of the ATF and then took his time chewing up the rest of it.

ATFs look fierce but are not aggressive in general with other similar sized fish i've found. Wolf fish on the other hand will not hesitate to take a bite out of anything.

Damn sorry to hear :(
