(sigh) :cry:... found my ONE and ONLY congicus dried up in the floor this morning when i came home from work.... she is about 13".. and she was the holy grail of my polypterus species....:cry: i don't even feel like feeding them today...:(..but i will...

gotta go through DABDA (stages of grief).. before i can get another one.. :cry:
its too hard to find one too.. crap..!!!!
 
Did you try putting it in water first?? They can survive quite a long time out of water... if you did, sorry for you loss :( It's always hard to lose a fish.

I know what you mean. I had an awesome L200 Pleco that would come up to the top to grab pellets...never shy. It died about a year ago. I ended up getting an new one and it's very shy. Not the same:( Looks great though.
 
YEAH.. I HAD THAT EXPERIENCE TOO.. MY FIRST ORNATE SWIMS LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW.. GREW RAPIDLY FAST, VERY INTERACTING.. SO I ENJOY IT ALOT AND PEOPLE NOTICE IT RIGHT AWAY.. AFTER A FREAK ACCIDENT THAT SQUASH ITS HEAD.. A 2 FT PACU KILLED HIM.. TRIED TO GET ANOTHER ONE A COUPLE YEARS LATER.. BUT DAT ONE WAS ALWAYS HIDING NEVER GREW FAST... ITS JUST THERE.. O WELL.. I STILL HAVE HIM THOUGH
