So after I went and picked up my son from school. We headed home... I have 3 dogs that I rescued at home. One of them has cushins (think its how its spelled)... For a while she wasn't doing well and I just couldn't take her away from my boyfriend. He wasn't ready to put her down. Yesterday was the day I couldn't look at her anymore. She had been giving me the look. I called him and told him to get his butt home and we are taking her to the vet. She was a role model for being a pitbull. She was about 12 or 13. Dunno..... It was easier to let her go knowing she lived a full life. That she was a rescue. I'm happy she is no longer suffering. Sad she is gone.

i am sorry for your loss...and give a hug to your boyfriend.. it must be tough on him....always very sad to say goodbye..

Thanks.... I wouldn't change a thing. Knowing she was a rescue made it all worth it. One less that is abused or homeless. My son is taking it better then my boyfriend. I made sure the boyfriend understood if ever we had another dog with this.... We would put them to sleep so they don't have to deal with it.
There is 2 kinds... Which I didn't know. The one that comes from the brain is worse. Which of course she had. The other isn't as bad. I'm gald she had a chance to show people what a real pitbull is like. The vet told me she changed his mind. I'll rescue another one day.

thats so nice to hear that her life did make the difference to your vet...you would think they would know but they are just like anyone... until you deal with a pit your bound to believe all the negative things you hear.. they can be such wonderful dogs.. and when you do get another please share a pic and the story..
