We lost our 4 year old female leopard gecko today due to complications of pregnancy.
Not sure exactly why, this wasnt her first season breeding, and not even her first clutch of this season.

RIP nubby( got her with a partial tail)

Thanks guys.

Again, not exactly sure, i wasn't around when it happened. but from what i saw before it happened, and what i was told, im assuming she wasnt back up to enough weight for this set of eggs. And we didnt relies she was carrying again until she got really thin.

it just sucks because the male doesn't come out of his hide much except to eat, and not sure if hell accept a new female, since he had been with the other one since they were both 10-15 grams.

And before anyone asks, no, we dont breed them to sell, and we we've only tried twice to even hatch any out. i just happened to get a deal on 2 tailless ones at a show, in witch the vendor said both were temp sexed for female.

Sorry for your loss. I would be suprised if he avoided another female though. At a certain point instinct takes over.
