I am sorry that i did not do this sooner. But I must announce that my prized 11" bichir eel has jumped to her death.

She was so young. Only 5 and half years old upon her death. I do not know what caused her to jump. I have very few holes for my bichirs to leap through, but she found a way.

She was a fantastic fish. Came to the glass when i walked in the room. I can only hope that if i try another bichir she will be able to fill the void a little.

RIP Harley the bichir eel

Sorry about your loss man! Over the last month I lost my baby Endlicheri to an unknown death, my one and only ropefish to getting eaten, and my favorite fish my needlenose gar as well. Fishkeeping can be hard sometimes.

Sorry for your loss. Now you to get to make new memories and form new relaitionships with a new bichir.

yeah im working on it with my ornate bichir eel. But just not the same. Some fish become more than pets. and this one was one of them.

but i look forward to getting another female. and growing her and my male senegal out to try and breed them.

So for the loss. She was such a ]v[onster!!!! Hope all goes well. I would feel sad after losing a fish that has been with me for 5 years. Good luck man.
