I just lost my big 8.5" male pyxie Skinny:cry::cry::cry:

It was all my fault, I decided to put his enclosure outside so he'll get some sun but it look like it was going to rain so I covered the top with a towel. I was out of the house all day yesterday and forgot to take off the towel. Well went to check up on him this morning and found him dead, died from tank being heated like oven with towel on top.

Anyways if any Minnesotans is interested I might be getting rid of my amphibian collection, this is a big lost to me:(.

Following animals to rehome:

1x 6" male pyxie
5x 5" female pyxie
1x 4" male pacman
1x 7-8" Tiger salamander

Oh yea will be getting rid of my roach colony as well 1000-2000 roaches.

Here's a few pix to remember my big boy.

I'm really sorry to hear this MAC. Skinny was an awesome frog. I think the photos of your frogs really inspired people to consider getting one of these beasts. But I agree, don't give it all up because you made a mistake. We all make mistakes one time or another, it's how we learn. I think you should really reconsider the thought of getting rid of your herps. Your great photos and awesome frog collection would be greatly missed in this forum.

Seeing your big boy is really sad... what an awesome frog... fat and healthy and looked happy and content...so sorry for your loss.

Thanks everyone

Well I posted my amphibians along with the roach colony on craigslist to see if there's any interest around here.

I have been down sizing the MAC zoo the last couple of months, got rid of all my birds and hamsters. Once the herps are gone it'll just be strictly fishes for a long time.

SO sorry to hear that. I loved seeing photos of Skinny. :(
