i got home from a long day of work, picked up some feeders for my 4 small peacock bass in a growout tank, fed them and then noticed all of them werent there. after some searching the tank... uh oh one was definately missing. and then i stepped on it. it had jumped out and been dried to my floor off the end of my tank and it was my favorite of the bunch. poor suicidal fish. guess i need to actually go get a cover for this one also. i was trying to get away with just keeping water low since it only needs to last another month or so

Man, sorry for your loss. Yeah, you better get something over the top of the tank.

Good luck to you bro...

sucks man, just get a sliding screen from lowes. they are like 6-20$ depending on size and work great for temporary setups.

it sucks, but peacock bass have easily been the toughest fish to keep. picky eaters, disease prone, and apparently suicidal?

sorry for the loss mate, i think everyone should get covers for tanks, even if the fish are not the jumpy type..better to be safe than sorry i guess :) good luck with your other fish!

I just lost a synspilum the same way. You know it always seem to be the best of the bunch.
