I woke up for work this morning to the sound of my mom telling my brother that Chester (our chesapeake bay retriever) wasn't doing well. I get dressed run downstairs to see my dad and my uncle lifting him into the truck. That was the last time I saw him alive. They were standing around the truck petting him when I had to leave for work, none of them were even tearing up. So I didn't want to start crying infront of my brother, dad, and uncle so I just went straight to the van and waited for my mom to take me to work... We just got done burrying him and now I'm pissed at myself for not saying goodbye when I had the perfect chance...

P.S.- Anybody ever keep this type of dog? Also has anybody been in this situation where you could have said bye and make peace but you didn't?
