Ive just got home from work and found my 8" Male Festae dead on the bottom of the tank!
Im shocked Ive not lost a fish like this in years.
Ive had him from 2.5" about 5 months ago and he was growing great. I noticed yesterday his colour was a bit off but apart from that he seemed fine.
I am really confused

Sorry, Jay. That is a tough loss. Maybe it had some internal issues for a while that finally caught up with it.

I have to agree with Al. Unfortunatly they do sometimes have underlying issues that show no outward sings until it's too late. Soory for the loss he, was a nice looking Festae.

That sucks man!! Same thing happened to my 11inch male festae also, 1 day he's the leader of the tank then the next day he's was dying. R.I.P. to my beast!

Like Chris said fish die just like people for unexplained reasons. Maybe he had a bad heart, lack of blood flow which is possible why he was losing his color.

I would have been more devestated if he was 11" sorry for your loss! Thanks for your comment!
