My Xingu was sick so I took it back to the LFS.... sniff..... He had a parasite and the store gave me one called a white pike in its place. I have no idea what species this is. I am thinking it might be an acutirostris, multispinosa, hemera, lucius, saxatilis, or a sveni. He has a long black stripe with verticle bars that are kind of faint, he has a spot on his caudal fin that is occelated and he has a humeral spot that is unocellated. He is 2-3" long and does not have any markings on his head save the stripe that runs the length of his body. He has maybe a triangular subocular marking but it is hard to tell. Any ideas?

a pic might help us determine what it is.

Yeah I will get one up, I just got him today and he is a little shy :)

Uh, haha, I doubt you got acutirostris, multispinosa, hemera ( what the mess is this pike? haha) in its place as they are all more expensive than the xingu I, so it would be a miracle or a mistake from the LFS that you got one as a trade. Pictures will definately help. Sounds kinda like a Saxatilis pike, but could aslo be cincta. Who knows till them pictures FLY!! BRING IT!

BTW...bummer about the xingu I....:(
