SAEs with Senegal

Right this questions probably been asked a million times by now but I’m to buggered to try and decipher the cryptic messages of the past.
Got given a couple of saes couple weeks back now and what I’m wondering is whether they’d suck on my poly.

I personally never heard of anyone have those two in the same aquarium. Also never heard of SAE sucking the slime coat off of any fish. My concern would be the Senegal trying to eat the SAE.

No. SAEs don't suck on other fish.

Amongst my favourite fish. Get some more and ditch the poly.

Cheers brother, can’t exactly ditch the poly paid a decent bit of money for it haha.


Currently using them to clean up a bit of wood. Was wondering if you’d be able to tell the difference between a flying fox and an sae?

What you have got is definitely a SAE. A bit thin.

I like falsies and flying foxes too.

Wouldn't touch a CEA.

I was going to put my sae with my fire eels they are so chunky and fast. Do they school? The 4 I have always playing together like clown loaches but if I had 10 plus would they school?

Yes. You find SAE in ponds in the hundreds.
