I know this is probably a dumb question and im about 99% sure i already know the answer to this question but, is there such a thing as an aquarium safe cleaning product? I recently bought a used sump filtration system from someone on craigs list and it had been sitting in his garage for a few years collecting dust and dirt. I really wanna get it cleaned well before i incorporate it into my system and was wondering if there was anything that could help me out with this or if its best just to start scrubbing.
thanks

Although i've never tried this method, i've heard white vinegar works to help clean old products... just be sure to rinse it well...

Vinegar is good for water stains. Tough ones you can use CLR with a good rinse afterwards.

Bleach is a good disinfectant. Just rinse a few times and let dry completely. Once it is dry, all traces of bleach are gone.

Thanks guys. I'll try the vinegar first and go from there.
