Safe glass polish?

I plan on trying to buff out some scratches on the inside of my glass tank and was curious if there were any aquarium safe polishes or should I just clean it off afterwards

Do you have fish in the tank currently or will it be empty while buffing? I have heard you can do it either way, but obviously it is easier when empty

I've heard jewelers rouge mentioned for polishing glass

Tank will be empty .going to use cerium oxide first but didn't know what buffing compound to use next

I’m very interested too.
I have an empty 20g that I got used. It has horrible hazing in the top half of the glass.

Will you be posting before and after pictures? I’d really like to see how it turns out.

How deep are the scratches? Glass usually falls at about 6-7 on the mohs scale of hardness.
