I might have air being sucked in through the connections where the tubes fit with the intake and the valves on my Odyssea cfs500. I want to use some lube to paste on the connectors between the hose so the seal will be tighter. Whats a safe lube to use in case small amounts of it get into the tank water? Thanks.

Only one red ear slider is in the tank atm.

How about KY? I would rather put a water based lube in my tank then petroleum based.

All the plastic in your tank is a petroleum product. Nothing wrong with Vaseline, but I would think that the teflon goop would work best
