What's the smallest size bichir that can go with a 23"-24" Congicus(it's thicker than a soda can)? Would a bichir around 10" be safe with a 23"-24" Congicus?

Hao, planning a little gamble are we? Can't wait to see what you are planning........ I graduated my Ansorgii/Endi from the growout to the main when he hit 7 inches. Despite my nervousness all has been well. Big Ornate is pushing 22-23 inches, Weeksii 21.5" and Congicus 22". Granted I have never fed any of my poly's live food, however in hindsight some of the smelts I feed are around the 6" mark.

Good luck and share!

Yikes. That's scary 7" Bichir with the big boy/girls that take down 6" smelts. I have AnsorgiixEndli @ 9", WC Senegal @ 11", and Lapradei @ 9". They will look like bigger smelts next to Godzilla. :O Godzilla took down a 6" SB albino sen at 21"(forgot to feed). Godzilla can take down 5" smelts with ease.

On the flipside if it does not work, instead of a 24" Godzilla with the girth of a soda can you will have 25" beast with a girth of a soda bottle :)

I would think a nice and fat one at 10in would be fine my 10in sen did fine with the big guys, till he was drowned by my bufunias catfish.

Sent from my SCH-I500 using MonsterAquariaNetwork App
Oh. Thanks for the input! Godzilla's(23"-24" Congicus) head is 5" long if that helps. :O

More extreme protein... Godzilla got a growth spurt after eating the SB albino sen. :( It was sad to see but at least it went to good waste.

I get my tilapia and smelts from local Asian supermarket. $1.99 per lb for tilapia if on sale. $1.18 per lb for smelts if on sale. Regular price is about 70c to $1 more.
