Hey guys I was just wondering if it's safe to keep my 1 foot endi with other endis that are arounddd 5-6 inches or so. Will the larger one attack the others?

I've asked this question before too. A 12" Endli might not be able to swallow a 5" endli but it can kill it. It also depends on the bichirs themselves.

HAHA they seem so peaceful, slow and unassuming...i guess u shud never judge a book by its cover :s that's why i HAD to ask...thanks!

My 5" Endli ate a 2" Albino Senegal. When it was 7", it ate a 3.5" Long Fin Senegal. When it was 8" it ate a 4" Palmas. Remember that it's not just length that matters, it's also girth. And with increased girth comes increased mouth size.

These fish are carnivorous predators, and smaller Bichirs are generally slow and sedentary targets.

I have a 13" Endli with a 6" Polli...they seem to be fine, but I've been thinking of moving my smaller upper jaws back into the 75g. It is a bit worrisome sometimes.

i dropped two 6-7" congicus in a tank full of large birchirs: a 23" pbb, 3 endlis 17+ inches, 15" ansorgii ... that was 2 years ago and I still have the two congicus today ... i think it's all depends on individuals ... perhaps, what you feed them has something to do with it .. i always feed mine massivore pellets so maybe they don't associate smaller fish with food...

i have a 1 foot ende a 11"senegales and a bunch of smaller ansorgii and retropinnis and others and none of mine get messed with at all

My 22" endli killed and ate (with some help after killing it) a 15" teugelsi. Didn't expect that to happen.

Ouch bro a 15" Teu sure is precious.

I had 17" endli with 14" ornate with others from 5" to 10" all no prob.
It all depends on their character i feel.
