Went to the craft store and picked up some Poly-Fil 100% Polyester Fiberfill from Fairfield. Safe for aquarium use?

thats what i have been using for over 2 years now...so ill say yes

as long as it doesn't say flame retardant or mildew resistant you should be ok.

That's all I've used for the last 10 years, but I go walmart and buy the cheap $4 pillow. I made some holders out of plastic canvas, line with the poly and insert in the HOB.

I've been using that for my mech as well, just make sure it's not treated with any chemicals and you'll be fine
