Ok... I am on Sailfin #2... she has been fine since Saturday... came home today... covered in white spots... I assume Ick. No other fish have it.... are they prone to it? I will get medecine tomorrow... provided she makes it. WTF???

To me sailfin tangs and purple tangs are ich magnets. What kind of system are you running reef? fish only? That will determine type of treatment.

you should check your LFS QT method's and wait a few day's and observe the tang to make sure it doesn't get ich and that it will eat as well.

good luck on ick....im currently treatin my tank with hyposalinity. What other livestock do you have in the tank? Agree with lee, i think most tangs are prone to ick. Thats how i contracted ick, through my blue tang.

Im not tryin to bring you down or anything, but why go through the trouble of infecting your tank with ick, treating it, the tang maybe even making it through it to one day have to get rid of it because of its size. Sailfins get huge!! From what ive read you need at least 125+ for life of a sailfin.
