anyone here keep sajica's cics? my LFS just got some in, they have really nice colors. i googled them and found that they are related to convicts, are they as aggro as cons though?
convicts are easily the most aggressive species of their genus. for the most part, the rest of the species, sajica included, are much less aggressive when kept alone. breeding pairs will become territorial and aggressive though so if you want to breed them then I'd keep them alone or in a tank 30 long or bigger.
Very true, they can be aggressive when breeding. Not that bad though, they get pretty territorial, but they're more bark than bite compared to a convict. They'll flare a lot and try to drive others away, but they're not taking shots every three seconds like a pair of cons would. I find that they don't inflict injury on the intruder like con's would.
