I'm just wanting to know a little bit about these guys I've come to be interested with them for a month or so and saw a beutiful one on rapps site with a nice hump on it's head and naturally being mfk sparked up the idea of giving them a run can u guys tell me some of ur experiences with them agression,ph,full size (5to6ins I think but the one on rapps site looked much larger if not mistaking) and maybe some photos of juv to adult will be appreciated

i have a few they are cool fish as long as you keep them with simmilar temperment they are tough but not the toughest by far i have a male that breed with a female convict sajicons i think is what they are called they grow pretty slow even in my 150

I got some babies from Rapps based on the same photos. I am seeing more blue around the gills as they grow and hey, have baby blue eyes. I keep mine in a 20gal planted tank with a bunch of apistos but they are soon to be moved due to the fact that they are becoming bullies. I can't speak on their mature size or behavior but I will say that these are beautiful fish that should be just as available in the hobby as convicts are. Get them and breed them if you can!!!

I have one at 2 inches, raised it from a 1/2 inch. Its pretty mellow. Put it with fish that have the same temperment. Its not a hgihly aggressive fish at all, so keep that in mind. Put it with less aggressive cichlids. From what I know they grow to 5-6 inches. PH is around 7.8 in my tank and the water is hard, and the fish does great.

I have a blue acara, firemouth and rainbow cichlid with it and they all do fine. The Sajica is the smallest but they dont bother it at all.

anyone got pics? I figured keep with the temporment (not new to cichlids) but I'm confused I haven't really been told how tough that could mean they just able to hold their own or are they brutes?
