I've been thinking about getting a pair of Sajica.
Would a 36''x12''x24'' be a sufficient tank size for a pair?
If not, would be sufficient for a single male?
What type of tankmates could I get away with putting with these guys?

Also, if you have Sajica could please post a pic or two of them?
Thanks.

Yeah you can have a pair in that size tank.
Is the tank 24" wide or tall?

As for tank mates you could go for simular sized fish on the same aggression level like thorichthys.sp's, blue acara, rainbow cichlids or something bigger like severums.

I the sajicas and also sajica "gold".....

Sorry for the poor pics, and yes i have quite alot of sajicas ATM :)

Tank is 24'' tall.
You say a severum would be ok with them, but I'm not so sure about that in this size of an aquarium.

I might just get a FM to go with them.

search for my thread called " my little sajica tank ". Its a 240 litres tank (63g). You can keep sajicas with most community fish, maybe except neons or fish in similar sizes of neons. A friend keeps a pair together with an oscar and a pair of FM.

All mine are small :D I would say a pair would fit nicely in that tank ;)

your right about the sev being too big for that tank [IMO]. a firemouth on the other hand would be a good choice.

I saw TNT Aquatics has some but its a Gold version, anyone know if this is different or what they look like?
I do have some pics of the gold, only pics of a dominate male, he killed 3 of his sibblings the B*****d.
There is a discusion wether they are line bred or collected from a different water, personally i think its a different varient.
I will try to get pics up soon but no guarantee.....
