my tank is 8'x2'x2', current stock is 1x 8-9 inch silver arowana, 1 8-9 inch lima shovelnose catfish, 1x 8 inch florida gar, 1x 6 inch senegal, 1x 5 inch flagtail, 1x 8 inch retro, 1x 4 inch albino bichir. i want to get a south american lung fish, what is the best size to put one in my tank. ive seen small ones for sale 3-4 inches and was thinking about growing it out and putting it in my tank but i dont know how fast it grows, what should i feed it and how many times a day.

Get the biggest one you can find.

the only ones i can find are 3-4 inches, i plan on making a divider in my tank to grow him out. i dont have any grow out tanks. the only tank i have is my 240 gallon lol.
what size should i grow it out till to throw it in my tank?

I'd say at least the girth of the Lima cat, personally I'd say 12+.
