Hey I got my first lungfish. It’s a South American lung, I did a lot of research and getting mixed reviews. Would a 5-6 inch long one be okay in a 10 g tank, that has a piece of wood and rock and a fake plant stacked on the side? Or will it drown.. and any info or exp is appreciated

It will be fine in a 10g tank at that size.

Yes will be fine at 5-6" for a little while but plan for around a 200 gallon tank eventually. Should grow around an inch per month.
